The Financial Times reported last month that Hungary’s economy was showing glimmers of success after a slew of bad news in the previous year.
Hungary has made a string of advances in the region's currencies, equities and bonds, Financial Times reports.
Current bits of good news include
• Activity in export-oriented manufacturing thanks to orders from a strong German economy.
• Increased interest rates
• Short-term bond investors are optimistic as the government targets a 3% budget deficit this year.
More good news came in early June when Financial Times reported that Fitch ratings agency revised its outlook on Hungarian debt from “negative” to “stable”.
