The palace, originally designed as an engine room for the water supply system of the Royal Palace , was built on one of the oldest streets in Budapest , the Hosszúsor. When the engine room became obsolete, it was refurbished and went on to serve many roles including as a coffee house in 1905 and a music pavilion in 1913.
Most recently renovated in 1992, the building has served as a casino for the past 15 years. At 8 million EUR, this palace is awaiting its next luxury function in Budapest .
